Beth Hinnen is a certified yoga teacher for Beginning and Intermediate Hatha, and Prenatal Yoga. She did her teacher training at Integral Yoga Institute in New York City, which incorporates chanting, asanas, deep relaxation, pranayama, and meditation into each class. Such an integrated discipline is accessible to all types of students, from beginners learning the basics to experienced practitioners wanting to built core strength with a more meditative practice. Beth brings a devoted interest in anatomy and physiology to her classes, focusing on alignment and strengthening, as well as flexibility. Her style varies to include vinyasa sequences, so that students may experience the power of the breath.

A resident of New York City, Beth continues to study yoga and meditation at various studios around Manhattan, and also privately. She has attended workshops with Rodney Yee and Mukunda Stiles, the founder of Structural Yoga Therapy. She is a member of both Integral Yoga Teachers Association and Yoga Alliance, and is insured.

Prior to teaching yoga, Beth worked in corporate finance for several years, then wrote fiction for several more, including two novels and several short stories, two of which have been published. She is thrilled to be teaching yoga.
