Rob Ryan

Rob Ryan is a nascent Yogi
who has studied Hatha Yoga
extensively with an interest
in interspersing various
disciplines involved in
Kundalini, Iyengar and
Astanga desiring to elicit
an irradiated coloration
from the students through
the coalescence of these
variegated disciplines.
His intention as a teacher is to bring each individual
through the work cultivating
a space that allows each of
us to uniquely egress. The
intimations he has with the
"creative aspect of the
infinite made manifest in
the finite" began to make
itself known to him most
readily through art making
and thus he approaches
others and himself, very
much the same way he would
approach a canvas or an
instrument; aware of "all"
potential, limited only by
the lack of experience.
With this in mind he invites you to engage yourselves
"in yourselves" and he would
be honored for you to do so
in his presence and with his
guidance; coming to the
understanding that we are
the eternal, tempted into
expression through the
desire to love, thus we are
infinite potentiality coming
to know itself through the
modality of universal
particularities.
He conducts the class by getting a feeling for the
individuals in the space and
reacts in accordance with
what he think will benefit
the aspirant's consciousness
most efficaciously.
Being an individual who has had and has to work through
a lot of physical holding
patterns and has invested
time into overcoming
procrustean antics, he
utilizes his own unfolding
through time for the welfare
of those who have entrusted
him with their diachrony,
keeping this moment open to
receiving actively and
initiating activities which
further our development in
this active receiving.
He graduated from The School of Visual Arts with
honors. During this time he
engaged in generating
occasions which utilized
human beings as one of the
mediums for art
installations; in other
words his effort was to make
recognizable the existence &
perpetuation of our
individuated selves the art
proposition. His interest
was in eliciting the
creative potential of all
the individuals involved and
seeing how he could
experiment with enlivening
consortium activities
feeling that there was much
more to each individual than
they generally felt the
ability to express in
diurnal activities.
Through these endeavors he began to recognize the way
that people stunted they're
potential of experiencing
their own presence. This
elucidated his own
limitations thus requesting
his inquiry towards opening
up to the way of life
qualities, his conformity
aimed towards the universal
and not merely culturally
conditioned habits.
He began to study yoga more rigorously recognizing that
it was not merely a physical
practice but a way to
liberate the creative
potential, with this he
decided that if he was to
authentically move forward
in these art endeavors he
must strengthen his own
awareness in perceptual
reality & so began his
teacher training. His
continued education
increases in its
vicissitudes day by day as
his nisus is set on adoring
what all else is.
